Emir joined Markfield Institute of Higher Education in February 2016 as a lecturer in Islamic Finance. He studied BA in Islamic Studies at the European Institute of Human Sciences, followed by Masters in Islamic Banking Finance and Management with The University of Gloucestershire. He is currently completing his PhD in Islamic Finance at the University of Bolton. 

Emir was appointed as Senior Administrator in January 2017 where he is responsible for a variety of administrative duties, including collating requisite government information on students. He is currently undergoing training to take on responsibility for Quality Assurance at MIHE. Alongside the managerial duties, Emir is also involved in teaching Islamic Finance at MIHE.
