MIHE’s PhD student, Muhammad Ishaq (centre), was examined on Wednesday, 26 July 2017, and is congratulated on successfully passing his PhD viva. The title of his thesis is: “Socio-Political Impacts of the Contemporary Religious Movements in AJK Pakistan: An Empirical Study on Competing Visions of an Islamic Society.”
The Institute also congratulates his supervisory team, both Dr Ian Williams (lead supervisor) and Dr Abdullah Sahin (second supervisor).
The external examiner was Professor Paul Weller (Derby University), and the internal examiner was Dr Ataullah Siddiqui. Special thanks also go to the Chair, Professor Ros Jennings (University of Gloucestershire).
